The Global Content Partnerships mission is to help professional content creators participate in, and benefit from, what’s happening on Twitter. The Entertainment and News teams bring content from partners like NBC, ViacomCBS, Disney, Condé Nast, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and many more to Twitter, and create opportunities for advertisers to sponsor premium content.

Role - Global Content Partnerships Intern
As a Global Content Partnerships Intern, I supported campaign operationalization across a variety of premium partners including NBCU, ViacomCBS, Disney, & Live Nation. Across a team of 6 partner managers, I spotted monetization optimization opportunities, tracked
sponsorship revenue performance, and provided data-driven
insights to improve content richness across Twitter.
In addition, I conducted a competitor analysis on ad products and
recommended opportunities to optimize monetization potential for
key advertisers and publishers.

Ad Products Competitor Analysis
Throughout the duration of my internship, I assisted the Global Content Partnerships team in optimizing 3 new ad products for Twitter by presenting data on a competitor analysis, identifying gaps and opportunities to optimize partnership potential. To strengthen Twitter’s existing ad product model, I analyzed ad products across TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, and Clubhouse. The main takeaways deduced was that Twitter should aim to expand Twitter Shop with product tagging and livestream shopping, support discoverability of video content, and grow monetization opportunities with creators.

Reflection
In this role, I learned more about how Twitter’s business operates while supporting the day-to-day operational tasks needed to run Twitter effectively. Whether it be ensuring campaigns are properly set up in Salesforce, pulling data on partners’ performance on Twitter, creating presentations for partner meetings and more, I was able to effectively contribute as a member on the team. The guidance received under Senior Partner Manager, Mike Niesz, ensured I excelled to the best of my ability.
This opportunity also solidified my interest to pursue work involving relationship management and client-facing roles. It taught me how much I thrive in building and maintaining relationships, and understanding how to embody and be the face of a product.
