Achooze
Achooze is an app created to provide a safe way for kids to connect with their friends and family through the gamification of healthy habits, quality time, and memorable fun. Given COVID-19 and the “new normal” we currently live in, Nickelodeon and Adobe were looking for a safe way for kids to still stay connected with their friends and family, even under virtual circumstances.
After being judged, the app was deemed eligible by Nickelodeon to be used for their future projects.

OVERVIEW
I led a team to map out user flows, design the user interface, implement auto-animate and voice command features, and coordinate 20+ functional artboards. Within one week, we created a working prototype, Achooze, which gamified healthy habits, quality time, and memorable fun for kids and their families to enjoy.
WHY ACHOOZE?
Unlike other trivia games, helpful facts are integrated into the Achooze’s framework. The game requires that players wash their hands before entering and utilizes loading screens as an opportunity to reiterate healthy, virus prevention practices. Players answer virus and entertainment-related “fill-in-the-blank” questions such as, “What is the first thing [player] is going to do after quarantine?” They then vote on which answer they like the best.
The app makes learning fun, hands-on, and collaborative. A localized offline option is available for families to pass the iPad around, playing with each other in-person. Meanwhile, an online version allows play-time with far-away friends, in real-time. The app encourages creativity, reduces virus fear/stigma, and is reminiscent of classic family board games, using technology you already have.
